About Campground

Desert Ironwoods Resort is a wonderful vacation spot. Our community is full of laughter and fellowship mixed in with the aroma of BBQs and campfires. RV site tenants enjoy full access to our wonderful, solar heated pool, clean restrooms, large laundry and all of our Desert Ironwood community events.

We are ideally located directly across the street from the Anza-Borrego Off-Road State Park and Ocotillo Wells SVRA. This allows quick and easy access to the beautiful desert and removes the worry of desert riders buzzing by your campsite in the middle of the night.

Our primary tenant focus is for monthly and seasonal site rental, but we do allow overnight and weekend sites dependent on our facilities occupancy.

My brother and I came up this weekend for a boys weekend and to say that the staff and the resort is great would be an understatement. The staff was awesome and marry she was absolutely great! The rooms are super clean and everyone is so friendly here. I will definitely be coming back and be telling anyone I know to go stay there if they are wanting to go to the desert to ride. Five stars isn’t nearly enough for this place!

We love this place and try to get here as much as possible. Great time for the whole family and where you are treated like family. We loved our room, facilities were neat and clean and the pool/patio area feel like home. The staff and residents are super friendly and helpful. Ironwoods embodies what a desert community should be. Perfect example; Our beloved boxer escaped her harness one afternoon and took off into the desert. The resort was alerted and countless residents and visitors jumped to assist us. They did! She was located and brought back to the resort by people we didn't know, but cared. These are the kind of folks that make our world a better place and we need more of that. Thank you Ironwoods staff and residents for your generosity and courtesy. We'll be back!!!!!

Just spent a few days at Desert Ironwoods Resort. A good friend of mine, and many others, recently passed and a celebration of life took place at the resort. My friend lived there and the resort crew knew him well. They pulled out all the stops to make it happen and really celebrated my friends life. All of us are extremely grateful for all they did. I stayed in one of the rooms and was very pleased with everything there. May need to go back with the wife and do some exploring with one of their side by sides.

This is a perfect place to ride from. We did 3 days of riding 2 nights. They had great cust service and perfect location. Very helpful when asking questions and they have tons of rentals available for you on request. Pool looked good but was way too cold to swim. That’s the good. Here’s the not so good. The rooms need some repair: tile in entry was falling apart. Paint was peeling and the water was warm not hot just warm. It looks like they never cleaned as the fridge still had food left over from prior people. Would we stay here again? Yes but we know what to expect. Over all it was a good stay and with some minor updates to the rooms I would 100% bring the review to a 5 star ⭐️

This place beckons you as your drive for miles through the desert and finally see a structure and lights. Especially after a long day of wheeling and you see the lights in the distance. Knowing that that will be hot and cold running water and a comfortable bed to sleep in as opposed to a cot and a Dude Wipe in a tint!!

The surprise for me was the warm and welcoming staff. Every exchange I had with any of the staff including the owner left me feeling welcomed and appreciated. Growing up in a small desert town primed my expectation for an attitude of indifference at best and an invitation to leave if the indifference didn’t work. In my opinion, the collective attitude of the staff I interacted with was the opposite of what I expected.

I purchased an electronic whip antenna from the main store and jokingly asked where I could get it installed on demand at 6:30 PM on Saturday night. Believe it or not less than 30 minutes later it was mounted, wired and functional with an existing switch in the dash. Turns out that, Kevin, the IT guy, also knew to mount the antenna and had the converter needed to complete the install. Kevin, was outstanding. He was personable, knowledgeable and kind.

We will definitely be going back to this place.
