From jct Kalifornsky Beach Road & Hwy 1 (Sterling Hwy-Mile Post 108.8): Go 1-1/2 mi N on Hwy 1.
We stayed at the Decanter Inn for 10 days. Due to the length of our stay and the amount of guests, the owner changed our regular room to the apartment that they have available. This was so thoughtful, helpful and appreciated! The owner and staff were very attentive and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfy. A restaurant and bar are also located on the site. The only downfall were the thing walls, a few nights it sounded like we were in a brothel. Otherwise our stay was pleasant and the up grade was greatly appreciated!
I was there simply for a place to stay to go observe dip netting for salmon. Small room for the price. But the location is what you are paying for. The gentleman that welcomed me was very nice. It was very quiet. Nice view of the lake. If go back simply for the service and kindness that I came across. The drive is spectacular! Just a note; the room would only be good for 1-2 people. Not sure if there were larger rooms. I think the only way to contact the owner/ management is by calling.
