One of the best camping experiences from Kentucky to Florida. I highly recommend stopping by for a couple nights!

Beautiful campground. Well maintained. Laurel Lake is so clean and clear. We had a site with a private path to the lake which was wonderful. Our site was a double site with plenty of room for us to spread out and not feel on top of each other. It is a 5 minute drive to a clean, sand beach. We will definitely be back.

(9-4-2023) SITE #11A

We booked our stay not knowing what to expect. We've never been to been to Kentucky before and this campground was surprisingly beautiful.

In the middle of NOWHERE, you are definitely in the woods. Here are some tips we learned:

1. The roads leading up to the campground and inside the campground are big rig friendly. They are twisty but clear of obstacles.

2. We stayed on campsite 11A and it was clean, spacious and well kept. Our 50amp service wasn't working properly. The staff was very friendly and prompt resolving the issue within an hour.

3. The campground is very quiet but there are not alot of amenities for kids to do.

4. The bathouses around loop Dwere clean but could use more ventilation.

5. To the beach access:

Leave campground and turn left. You will see a few turn offs but that's not them. The beach is at the dam and it's clearly known.

6. Pack all that you need or you'll be driving to the nearest Dollar General which is 10miles away. Directions to the Dollar General: Leave the campground and turn left, pass the dam and at the stop sign turn left, drive until that road dead ends and the Dollar General will be on your right.

7. If you need fuel, including Gas or Diesel. There is a fuel station 1mile away from the Dollar General. To the fuel station: Turn right at the Dollar General and go 1mile up the road, it'll be a blue gas station on the left. About 15-18mins away from the campground.
