The nicest park in the area! So welcoming and cozy! We stayed in one of their cabins and it was a great stay! They’ve thought of everything! Family owned and operated! We will be returning! 🌎💙🙏 Thank you for your amazing hospitality! 🙏🙏🙏

If I could give this place infinite stars, I would! My husband recently got a new job that required us to relocate from North Georgia to Kentucky. Finding Sheltowee RV Park and Cabins was a true blessing! The park is BEAUTIFUL, meticulously maintained, and peaceful! The owner, Tripp, immediately made us feel like family and has been incredibly helpful with anything we’ve needed! The sites are extremely spacious, clean, and level. They also have great WiFi 😉 Although we haven’t seen the inside of the cabins, they look amazing and incredibly cozy. Downtown Morehead, shopping, and restaurants are just minutes away, but we feel like we are out in the country ❤️ My husband, children, and I absolutely love it here! I would recommend this gem to anyone looking to get away for a few nights, weeks, or months!
We stayed in our camper at Sheltowee RV park for 7 months while my husband was working in the area.
It’s a beautiful and peaceful campground. Each lot has a picnic table and fire ring. They do provide firewood which is nice. The wifi is decent. There are also communal fire pit areas.
We also rented a cabin for a weekend for our kids that came in to visit. The cabins are tiny but have a washer and dryer which is nice.
There aren’t a lot of amenities for the campground. There’s no dumpster (they pick up your trash daily at 10am). There’s no laundry or club house on site. The entire property is grass or gravel so not conducive to bike riding; the gravel is only about a quarter mile loop. But I did enjoy morning walks through the park. It is dog friendly.
There are two ponds that we saw people fishing in…not sure if they caught anything.
The rates were high comparable to other campgrounds with much more to offer for amenities and area attractions. But it is a beautiful spot outside of town for a quiet place to stay.
This is a very nice campground. We stayed here for 5 nights while visiting family in the area. The sites are level and are spaced far apart so you have privacy. They offer free firewood and trash pickup which are great perks. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the Morehead area. We camped at Sheltowee RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.
