From Elizabethtown, Kentucky, travel the Western Kentucky Parkway to the Leitchfield exit. Turn right on Highway 259, then left on Highway 54. Continue for 11 miles and turn right on Highway 79. Drive 6 miles and turn right on Highway 736 and continue 2 miles to the campground entrance.
The spots are horrible. Why they put rocks down instead grass or black top. The bathrooms were always dirty. The portapotty was disgusting. No toilet paper. Everything is on a hill. One shower house for everybody to share. They had kids playing in them and the parents not watching them.
It was fun, but the tent site with other sites was on the hill side so felt like you was rolling down the hill when you turned over on your air bed. Toilets was locked when I woke up at 6:45 am and didn't open till 8am. So that really sucked. Shower didn't know where they was. Thank goodness my other brother had an rv & took shower there. Deer mites are bad. The electric panel & water was to close and the water faced the electric panel. Had fun with family. Put a lot of mental notes of what to bring if they go back there. I think the. Amp sites on the hill should be for tents cause the rvs have showers and bathrooms. My opinion on that
We always have a wonderful time!! And the amenities at this campsite are top notch!!
Beautiful. Most sites are gravel. The lower loop has paved sites. The water level is currently low.
