Loved our week camping here, other than the insane boaters on the lake we loved it. I was shocked at how people drive their jet skies and boats out on the lake. I witnessed numerous near misses and it seemed to be utter chaos at times. Fishing from shore was great when we could find breaks from the incessant speed boats making huge wakes. One particular drunk boater crashed into the dock, and state police were called because of a boating incident/accident as well. Walking distance to bar, gas station, and other amenities, seasonal residents were extremely welcoming, and the ladies who ran the show were friendly and kind. We will return again, but I hope whoever controls boating traffic will get on top of the chaos this year.
Went for 4th of July festivals, they had a real nice parade and beautiful fireworks on the 3rd. Spent the night near by with friends went out on their boat enjoyed the water and festivities
This was hands down the best camping vacation I have had in a while. It has paved roads and everyone rides their bikes, the views are spectacular, the play grounds are great, the bathrooms are nice and the showers are huge and the best showers I have ever been in at a campground. You can boat, kayak, canoe, fish and swim. The people are also very nice. Stayed 5 days this time, next time it will be for 7! Already looking forward to next year!
Great campground for primitive and rv, lots of clean showers and bathrooms!! Lots of lots on the water also!! Will be back for sure
