The Cottonwood Campground is a developed camping site an semi-alpine setting. The site features 18 campsites, fire rings, water, picnic tables, vault toilets, garbage collection, and can accommodate large recreational vehicles. Season of use runs June 1 to October 31. The Green Mountain Loop Road above the campground is open June 15 - December 1.
From Jeffrey City, go east 6.3 miles to Green Mountain Road. Go right, and follow it about 10.5 miles south to the campground
Fee: $6 per night Golden Age / Golden Access Passes accepted. No reservations first come fist serve.
Sandy and rough but a great place to go and relax. If you are looking for a place with all the luxuries you should go elsewhere. If you want a great place to have a boat, kids, and camper and have some fun, then this is the place for you. It is a bit of a drive either way you take on the loop to get here but it is worth it.
Very beautiful Picknick and camping place! Loooots of ants! There is an outhouse and about 4-5 grill areas with benches and tables. Water is nice and the views are stunning!
