Take exit 49 (if coming from Grand Junction) off I-70 to HWY 65, go approximately 18 miles on Hwy 65 and turn left onto HWY 330. Go 12 miles to the town of Collbran. Stay on 330 East past Collbran for about 12 miles to Mesa County Rd. 64 6/10ths Rd. and turn right at the “Vega State Park” sign. Go 5 miles to the Park Entrance Station, and go another half mile and turn right across Vega Dam to the Park Visitor Center. The campground is on the southern edge of Vega Reservoir.
Sites are fairly private, though close. Bathroom was clean. Beautiful area.
Spots are too small for large campers, the road around is grown over and scrapes every flat surface of your camper
