The general area is beautiful, but I would not recommend any of the campsites on Loop C. It's next to the highway & too much traffic noise. Otherwise. It's a wonderful area! Next time we will get a campsite up at Elk Ridge Campground instead.

Great campground! Clean facilities with flush toilets. We really enjoyed spending the weekend here. The beach was nice, although you could tell the geese enjoy it as well. The playground was awesome and there is a slide that was incredible that runs parallel to the stairs for the little ones. Not for those looking for a more wild, secluded experience, but good fun and worth a visit!

Our family had a great time camping at the Dakota Terraces Campground in Ridgway State Park. The campground was beautifully surrounded by green mountains and a great view of snow-capped mountain peaks. The reservoir wasn’t full yet but that didn’t keep people from kayaking and paddle boarding. My grand kids had fun playing in the sand and wading in the water. Once the reservoir fills up there is a great swimming area! We will definitely camp here again!

I stayed in a yurt in winter. It was like camping but with a heater. Very comfy. The only tricky thing was walking to the bathroom in the snow but I managed. There was almost no one else at the park.

Had rented a ‘yurt’. Big enough for 4-5 adults. They had ac and a wood burner so perfect for any season. It was also equipped with a fridge and a microwave. The other campers were close by but it was a well maintained distance. Restroom and water supplies were very close by without having to walk much. Nice trails within reach too! Highly recommended for a visit.
