Telluride Town Park sits at the end of the main street in Telluride making it ideal for walking access to the downtown area and nearby hiking trails. Home to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and Mountain Film Festival, this park is a happening spot to camp. As far as Telluride camping goes, this location is unbeatable! Online reservations only.
Incredible campground location. Camp host Fred was fantastic (2023). He ran a tight ship at the campground and stepped up to help us when our batteries died. He ran through a dumping rainstorm to grab an extra battery pack so that we could get our awning closed. Town park is lucky to have such a great host!
Probably the best campground we have ever stayed in. Location is the first 5 star. You are literally a ten minute walk to anywhere in the town. Such a treat. Second the scenery and surroundings are second to none - seriously. Third the vibe - very chilled and easy going, in the campground and outside. Fourth, the town recreation center is kitty corner - you get access to pools, tennis, pickle ball, children's playgrounds, soccer and baseball fields, dog parks, etc etc. Fourth are the trailheads nearby. After a week we did not have to drive to any trailheads. Lastly while folks complain there are no hookups and no dump station, the reality is you cannot stay for more than a week. Water access, dish washing area, hot showers and very clean washroom facilities are all there. One of the water falls is also almost in the campground little brroks run past most do the campsites. Be prepared to be online with your finger on the mouse button in April if you want to get a spot.
We loved our stay here in September and look forward to returning next year. The campground is beautiful and well maintained, the bathhouse looks brand new and is always clean, and the location can't be beat. Our camp host Fred was friendly and very helpful in finding our spot the optimal location to park our RV. We hope to see him next year too!
We had an amazing time the camp host Fred was great! He told us about so many wonderful things to do in the area. We stayed in a 20 foot camper. Everything is walking/biking distance.
