Incredible place to camp. We were warned about bears but we did not see any thankfully. There were a lot of mosquitoes but that is just part of the experience. It was such a pleasure to spend 3 nights in this very peaceful place. I would suggest trying to get here on a weekday in order to get a campsite as there are only I think 7 available sites.
7 spots 20 min from Steamboat in the National Forest...beautiful and quiet. Trailheads right here.
