What jewel of a state park. We had a retreat there and made great use of both indoor and outdoor spaces. And the Shari and Kirk were so helpful and accommodating to our needs. The best.

Fun and clean campground. Spaces have plenty of room, so as to feel like your not on top of your neighbors. Restrooms are clean and available day or night. There is power to hook up your camper/rv, and a dump station on the way out if those services are needed. It is close to Highway 40, so you are going to hear vehicles pass by. All in all a nice place to camp.

Nice, small campgrounds. Not much in the way of tree baffling so road noise from the highway was a bit louder than I'd have preferred in the tent area. I stayed during early July so there was a significant mosquito population. The facilities do include private showers with reasonable water pressure and temperature, as well as a coin laundry. The boat ramp down to the river was fine. Informational signage was good. The crew staffing the office and the camp hosts were all quite friendly and helpful.
