From Silverthorne, CO, take State Rt. 9 north 4.7 miles to campground sign. Turn right at sign into campground.
Really love this campground. The setting is great and the amenities, though sparse, are in great shape.
No water. No electric.
Killers views a
And a great river to relax by.
We come here OFTEN.
Stayed 2 nights and had a blast. Get there early for riverside/ river level sites, they are first come, first serve. Cannot reserve a site in advance. Bathrooms are extremely well kept for vault toilets. Minimally invasive highway noise. The river was near capacity so the sound of that made it peaceful at night. The camp hosts in 2019 were fantastic.
Lower campsites had great views and reasonable privacy. The upper sites, not so much. There is a fair amount of road noise from 6 am to about 10 pm but that is to be expected near a roadway. The river does a decent job of drowning that out though and it wasn't really a bother. If there were water available somewhere at the campground (not asking for showers or water hookup) we would have rated this a 5. We knew going in there was no water available so we were prepared for it. Bathrooms were very well kept up.
Attached several views from our campsite.
beautiful location! great hiking near by. no cell service was a plus with town also a very short drive away
A nice spot, especially the lower sites. The water was high this year (June 18 2023 weekend) but still sort of fishable from the edges. Campground is nice, bathrooms are very clean and site staff are nice. Some spots are pretty close together with worn paths between them. Town is nearby for anything you need. Plus plenty of hiking trails. Careful of off-leash dogs. Overall a great spot. Fills up early so book way ahead of your visit!
