A nice small park with a small area to walk around at. It doesn't warn you on the website, but the park is not dog friendly and dogs are not allowed on any of the trails.
Man, this place sucked. There's nothing to see, and there's currently no tours. Everything is busted up and very, very old. Skip the park and check out the nearby natural areas instead, which are wonderful!
Weld County & Greeley built a nice trailhead at Missile Silo Park with access to the Shurview Open Space (soon to be renamed). There are picnic structures and many planned improvements. Someday we would like to see a connection to the Poudre River Trail.
Was not what I was expecting as it sounded like it was dog friendly but it was not! However, it was a nice place to observe the prairie dogs
A new open space from an old missile silo. What else could it be done with a Cold War relic? Picnic area has stunning views of the Rockies, Pack a lunch, take a hike, and finish with a picnic. Try it, you'll like it.
