We just returned from our first stay at Coloma Resort. We had a great time. Both miners cabins were very nice and clean. The resort is well maintained and the staff was very friendly. We will be back next year!

If I was rating just the scenery and backdrop it would get a 5. We stayed in a bunkhouse room as our 5th wheel was too tall to fit under the bridge coming into the park. Our room is like a dated motel 6 that was abandoned. Some outlets and lights did not work. The no pressure shower leaked all over the bathroom. The heater kicked on around 3AM and it set off the smoke alarm. The room smelled musky and like someone smoked in the room. This was definitely not worth $200 per night.

This was our first stay at the resort but certainly won't be our last.

We picked site 100 with full hookups and best of all a lot of shade. Unfortunately we had a loud camp next to us. Even though we were in an RV site the management allowed 4 adults to pitch tents, thought that was odd but when we noticed they were part of a group that had rented two cabins close by. No doubt their group had a very good time, to somewhat of our dismay. Let's just say they gave campers a bad reputation.

Now this resort has everything. Really built for big groups. We think next time we will for go the full hookups for the sites with electricity and wster that are just above the beautiful American River.

My favorite place to glamp! RV spaces are fabulous and the river is amazing. Service is always great! We haven't had the need to rent a cottage but they look really cozy.
