We are local to the area and wanted a fun place to stay for our son's birthday weekend. Upon arrival, our site was not the site that was originally booked. Andrea handled our check-in process and she went over the top to make sure that we got into the site that was preferred. She had a great attitude and continued to impress us the way she carried herself and how accommodating she was for us. Once we pulled up to our spot, we were even more thankful that she was able to move us around because it was an amazing end cap spot with patio, fireplace, swing chair, and a great little grass patch. We made a point to go and chat with her the next day just thanking her for her hospitality! As the week went on we met her husband Mike who was also a joy. He was incredibly friendly and my boys made great friends with him when he would drive around the property. He even spent some extra time getting to know us and our Labs we brought camping. It is not often that you book a campground where the staff makes a huge impact on your stay. The team that KOA has in place at this location is amazing and it really brought a whole other level to our stay at the campground. Thank you again Andrea and Mike! Hope to see you both again real soon.
We have done Halloween camping here 3-4x and each year has been a blast for all ages, but especially kids. There are so many activities for the kids, so much to see and do, there is never a dull moment, and the kids can just run wild and have a GREAT time. It feels well run, well maintained, and very safe. There is a giant bouncy blob, a petting zoo, face painting, T-shirt tie-dyeing, a store, and new this year, a cute lil good truck!! There are several cute towns nearby, several breweries and wineries .. truly something for everyone.
Folks - remember this is a KOA. It is not really camping if you’re a lover of the great outdoors. There are tons of kids, motor homes and noise. That being said, if you’re looking for a KOA where they give you at least a small amount of breathing room, this is your spot. The place is kept very clean, especially considering how many people are there daily. The pool is great (except the blaring country music - not cool), activities for kids are super fun, petting zoo is adorable, bathrooms and showers are clean and stocked. It’s just a great way to get out of town for the weekend and kick back by a fire. Take it for what it is and you’ll love it.
Highly recommended this park! Large park with pretty rv sites, little cabins, tent sites, and quite a few amenities and a K9 park. The owners were very accomodating when we had to move parks last minute and got us in a site same day. They also watched out for us during some nasty weather in Petaluma.
Minus that weather, we really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely come back to this park on our next run to Sonoma County!
