From jct I-90 (exit 42) & Hwy-14: Go 1/2 mi N on Hwy-14.
The day before check in I tested positive with covid, they were not willing to move reservations to another weekend or anything. I was not expecting a refund in anyway but at least some help with a credit for later in the month or able to reschedule.
Bed bugs ! BED BUGS ! Huge infestations of bugs in cabin 1 and 2 . Owner said she sweep and mop after every guest and there couldn't be any bed bugs bc she said they had a guy come every month and also someone was there just a week ago according to the manager. Still waiting on a refund as well as the massive amount of money I spent personally after learning I had bed bugs in the walls of the cabin plus emotional damage as my girlfriend and I are terrified of getting them here at my house.
The others who came had to bring this issue to there familys and everyone was scared and cleaning everything.
Owner said we brought them even though there were dead / old / dried out crisps of bed bugs as well as larva / eggs.
In communication with a good lawer.
good luck I pray for you
bed bugs in the cabins is my only concern with cheerful valley. We were told that the cabins are exterminated every month… well come to find out 3 months ago on Yelp they had a problem with bed bugs in the cabins as well… needless to say they didn’t completely tackle the issue….. the location is beautiful just wouldn’t advise staying in a cabin. Sleep in your own tents and RV for your own good‼️
We stayed at Cheerful Valley Campground while driving across country with our 3 young kids. The location was breathtaking but everything else was awful. The campground was having a party which the kids danced and had fun at our site. As the night went on it got rowdier and rowdier. We were told quiet time started at 10pm, but It went past 11pm before the music stopped. We were terrified to go to sleep because of people who were extremely drunk driving two golf carts around our tent. They were yelling at eachother and one golf cart even hit the tree right next to our tent. In the morning we saw it was people in the 60s acting that way. Never have I had to worry about my kids and I being run over in our tent while camping. It was an awful experience.
Clearly a campground out to collect money and not put money back into it. Driveway full of potholes, unable to completely dump due to incline at dump station. When we arrived I asked if we had a pull through or back in site. Was told “oh I have no clue”. Arrived at our site with the campfire ring on the whole other side. Had to park on top of neighbors due to how far water and electric hookup was. Will not be returning.
