Whether it’s bass fishing in a tranquil pond, relaxing by the fire under a canopy of hardwoods, or exploring the rich history of upstate New York, Red Rock Ponds has something for everyone. You couldn’t ask for a better location. We’re just across the road from the Erie Canal where you can canoe the historic waters or walk/bike the shoreline on the Heritage Trail.
Our resort has a large recreation hall, well-stocked store, designated swim area with a sandy beach and activities for everyone– from Bingo and BBQ to food trucks and wine tasting. Plus, guests have access to paddle boats, rowboats, canoes and kayaks.
In the mood for a day trip? We’re only an hour’s drive from beaches, amusement parks, museums and shopping, and just 90 minutes from Niagara Falls.
Giving 2 stars because at least the bathrooms were extremely clean. The hiker-biker tent site (if you can call it that) is a joke. One small area in the mulch and equipment storage are (are they serious?) that you have to share with a bright flood light shining like the sun all night.
Wonderful place for weekends or seasonal stays. Friendly people, quiet setting, and clean facilities.
This was a huge disappointment. This is what a $55 tent sight payed for. We barely had a dry patch of grass in the weeds next to the equipment and mulch pile. Further more after we’d paid we were told I that they had added a policy of 25$ per person. I tried to call several times and the owner will not refund my money or call me back. My 9 year olds pedaled 35 miles to get here and then another 7 to a hotel. Sooooooo disappointing.
Such a nice peaceful weekend. Really one of the few private owned campgrounds that is mostly seasonal renters where everyone was nice and welcoming from the seasonal owners to the owners of the campground. We camp with 8 adults and 8 children. There was plenty for everyone to do here. We enjoyed wraps on wheels Friday evening. The sites are spacious and established. My husband and I will definitely be back.
