About Campground

Camp Sandusky has offered great camping experiences for visitors to Sandusky, Ohio and Cedar Point for over 20 years. Just 6 miles to Cedar Point. Going to Cedar Point? Stay in an Amish cabin and relax around a campfire after your busy day. Bring your RV or tent and enjoy our level shady sites.

We have recently increased the size of some of our sites. We have also added air-conditioning to four of our pet-friendly cabins. We will also be having more planned activities including outings to local attractions.

Loved our cabin and the excellent service. We were unfortunately hit by a storm which flooded the park - Mike responded quickly and was very accommodating given the Act of God upon us. He was also helpful in giving us info on local attractions in Cleveland to check out! We will be choosing Camp Sandusky when we return to Ohio for our next trip to Cedar Point

It was a quick weekend trip and we stayed in one of the cabins. The room was clean and the mattresses were fairly comfortable. My only complaint is that my refrigerator was filthy so we didn't use it.

I wish that they had some weekend activities to participate in.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back

Woken up by trucks and train horns all night. We bailed after the first night, giving up what we paid for the following three nights, and moved to a different campground where we had to pay again. It was that bad. Zoom out on the map and you will see that this campground is sandwiched between two highways and rail yard. The pickup trucks especially seem to love to roar out as they turn off the off ramp of highway 2. If your idea of camping is peace and tranquility, this is not the place for you.

We took our three teenage girls here for one night two days as a birthday present and we really enjoyed the playground and park. Only downside was the heated pool was taped off with caution tape and we were unable to use it so the only pull available was pretty cold. And most important, the cabins were really good. It was quite far walk from the cabin to the amenities because we were told that all the other cabins were booked even though over half of them looked empty. Overall it was a really good trip. I just wish the service would have been better. It would have been nice to be told that the heated pool was not working and it would have been very considerate to let us get a cabin closer to the pool and playground area. They provide ice for sale at the front office and you can also buy rabbit food and feed the rabbits. You are allowed to pet and hold the rabbits. Barry animal and family friendly.
