Beautiful view! Most of the lake was frozen and you can walk on it. There are multiple trails which leads you to different lakes. Make sure you check the sunset and return before the sun is down.
Beautiful snowy hike. The views on lakes were amazing. We hiked a loop up to Emerald Lake. It was a strenuous hike at times but nothing too extreme. Hiking poles/ spike boots recommended for snowy conditions. If not used to heights, more often breaks might be needed to catch a breath. As temperatures are rather low, have an extra layer packed for a hike down as you might get cold.
Absolutely perfect final day in the park. Loved the cold morning air. Much of the lake was frozen, which provided for a magical setting. Almost no other people were there at 9am so I had the place to myself.
The most beautiful place I've ever been! My son and I hiked to the top about 10,000 ft. The people were friendly. I had to take it slow and that I just moved to Colorado 6 months ago. Altitude takes time! I believe this hike changed my life. It was incredible. Absolutely beautiful!!! A must see! 🙏
This hike was beyond moat hikes I have ever gone on. I've been hiking across various states and European countries, and this hike was one my favorite by far. The views were amazing, the lakes were really cool to walk on, and the paths were exactly what was expected. Highly recommend this hike as it was not extremely difficult, but not recommended for dogs or kids.
