Pulling up we were a little hesitant. The place was not what we expected. We got set up, went on a hike with the trail starting right behind our camper, played volleyball and basketball with our kids, pet the horses. It was great! The staff was wonderful too. We will definitely go back!!

This place is SO beautiful! Quintessential Colorado mountain views, complete with lovely private lake, where you might see some Moose, we did. Hiking and fishing aplenty. These cabins aren't updated, but I personally wouldn't want to be in an uber-modern "cabin" just wouldn't feel right. The cabins are well stocked with dishes and cups, coffee maker, toaster, dish towels, sponge, dish liquid, hand soap, body soap, wash rags, towels and extra pillows, also you never run out of hot water, seriously 6 showers and did the dishes and we still had hot water. Great having cookouts on the charcoal grill. There's a large fire pit where you can make new friends, and sit and listen to Papoose Creek and the hundreds of hummingbirds. Hangout with some horses, or set up a trail ride, something we'll get to on our next trip. We will definitely be back! Thanks for everything Carl!

The Ute Lodge is a lovely place to unwind, breathe fresh mountain air, watch humming birds and moose, have a rejuvenating experience, all the while laughing and connecting with people.

I have been to the Ute Lodge many times as a guest, friend, and as a Yoga Retreat Facilitator. Mona and Karl Maser are wonderful hosts and great conversationalists. I love there sweet cabins, the spacious grounds and the accessibility to hiking, river and lakes.

I always leave there peaceful and looking forward to coming back!

Loved it! Very pleasantly surprised! The cabins were all well equipped from blankets and pillows to coffee maker and filters...the only thing missing was a t.v. . The only complaint was the pine cabin could use a fan. Loved the entire time I was there.b

Such an amazing place! It is secluded and some cell providers don’t work (AT&T works best). Private lake that you can fish, paddle board, and kayak on. Basketball/pickle ball court, badminton/volleyball net, tetherball, sandbox, and swing-set.

There are multiple hiking trails right next the property and a few more just down the road.

There are 10 RV sites, 2 tent sites, and 8 cabins! There is a bathhouse that campers can use. Fires are not allowed at the individual sites, but there is a communal fire pit. Which brings a sense of community to the whole place.

It’s absolutely beautiful and we love it here. Karl and Mona are amazing hosts and are some of the kindest people!

Definitely recommend staying here. It is 30 miles from town so anything you need for your trip, you’ll need to get before hand so you’re not making a ton of trips to town.
