Colorado State Wildlife Areas require either a hunting, fishing or land permit for use.
Such a beautiful former State Park that could easily be reopened again. Not sure why the state is neglecting this location, guess because it's not by mountains or a ski town they don't want to bother with it.
As for going now no buildings are open or services just an open property to enjoy the nice peacefulness this land offers.
Quiet, well groomed. A hidden gem! Well worth the short drive off the interstate.
