Cannot touch water in fall & winter months making this a destination limited to Spring & Summer months when water is open. Boating allowed and very close to Modesto. Allow dogs is a plus. The on site stores & shops were closed when I visited beginning of zoctober, though I suspect some or all are open in Summer.

Go during the weekday and the lake is pretty much all yours. Great for kayaking, wake boarding, or tubing. Don't expect resort clear water or golf green grass. It's a location that gives a "down to earth" feel that keeps everyone comfortable. If you're boujie, this place is not for you. But I love this place, come here to relax or have fun in the water. This place will let you do both.

It's a bit on the ghetto side to be blunt and honest.

*I rather drive the extra 20 min from where I am located - elsewhere for a kayak paddle or bike ride

*However - Fun place for group gatherings / BBQ, Jet Ski's, Boats and Fishing - Lot's of freedom!

*Becomes the wild wild west during July - Lol 😆

*Facility workers try their best 👌 to keep the place clean and in order - It just gets supper busy during peak times (Summer / Holidays)
