We stayed at Cabin O' Pines for a week with two other families, each of us in seperate cabins, and had a blast. The cabins were really clean upon check-in. Even the spider webs on the outsides had been removed! Amenities inside the cabin were as expected- cups, plates, bowls, and silverware along with a few pots and pans, spatulas, etc. The beds and furniture were comfortable and the cabins generally had a very cozy feel.

What really made the week, though, was the plethora of activities. The kids were happy to find two playgrounds and a zipline to rotate between. The adults were happy to have one of the playgrounds within sight and hearing of the cabins so younger kids could have supervision while at one of the playgrounds, while the older kids could have more freedom at the second playground. There is a playhouse and tons of yard games to play (bocce, croquet, carpet ball, basketball, ladder golf, cornhole, horseshoes, and more). There are bathrooms (again, clean and well maintained) near both playgrounds.

The beach was really nice- sandy and cleaned every morning. The water trampoline with attached launchpad was a hit with kids and adults alike, and the water craft (paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, paddle boards) were easily accessible and fun to try. The main dock is huge with different areas to sit at while watching the boats come and go, or catching up on a good book. If you prefer a quieter launch, there are many small docks available for certain cabins.

There are bikes available to use around the campground. A sauna available for adults in the evenings (by appointment so you're not getting cozy with the rest of the resort). The office has movies, games, and puzzles for a rainy day.

While we didn't use the fish house, it looked nice and didn't smell. No wafting fish aromas here, which we've experienced at other resorts.

The stars at night are magnificent. Being north has its advantages and this is a big one. Do yourself a favor and head out on the dock after nightfall to watch for falling stars, satellites, the Northern Lights, etc. Absolutely stunning.

Cabin O' Pines is a great place to take the family. We definitely recommend it!

First timer, it was pretty relaxing staying here. we went with 8 guys and we were able to make it work in a 3 room cabin. Place is nice and quiet. The staff is very welcoming and informative and always ready to answer our questions. We had rented a pontoon aswell and the experience was amazing. Place is kid friendly. My only gripe is that there are alot of spiders outside and on the pontoon but because its the woods and outdoors it cant be helped. I wanna bring my kids next time I think they would have a very good time. Place is very family friendly. will likely go again.

We had our wedding on the dock and had the wedding party in the Split Rock cabin. It was an amazing venue!

This place is the best! We were initially greeted by the new additions Genna and her husband Steve and felt right at home. We were then introduced to one of the owners Ross, who was so accommodating, and a pleasure to get to know.

The property is beautiful and immaculately kept. There are so many things to do right on the property. They have plenty of yard games, a great beach and even a game room for those rainy days.

From the bathrooms, to the shower house and even the fish shack, everything was so clean and well maintained. We can't wait to come back here!

Total rustic charm! Ross and the crew were absolutely fantastic. As friendly as one would hope for.

Look, if you're expecting a 5-star hotel, don't come here...and don't try to see nature at its best. If you like or want a nice, cozy, rustic vacation, please stop here...so you can see nature at its best, and enjoy a sauna. Yes, a sauna!

Lake front cabins have personal docks, well you may have to share with a neighbor if they brought or rented a boat, but you only need to share with one neighbor.

They have a grill and fire pit at each cabin. Firewood is for sale, and the prices are pretty reasonable. They have a small gift shop in the main office along with a small needs store...which even stocks eggs! Did you forget your rod and reel? They have that too.

Avid fishers, they have a fish house especially for you to clean all your catches...well, it's for everyone and everyone is expected to use it for their catches.

The boat rentals are great, whether you want to just tool around on a pontoon or hit some hard-core fishing in a v-hull fishing boat.

If you have an EV, they have a charging station for you. Need a laundry room, that have that too...coin operated though. Bring your own boat, they have trailer parking. Bring your own camper, they have hookups for them too. Want to rough it more.. just get the regular campsites or maybe even a yurt! Yes, they have yurts too.

A very kid friendly environment. Lots of stuff for kids to do, even if they don't want to fish...but why wouldn't they. They have pet friendly rooms, so bring them along too.

What better way to wake up or go to sleep than with some of the best views...well, do both of them with the sounds from the local loons. It was just an amazing time.
