Great hike! Challenging and beautiful. Got a great workout in.
Fantastic winter hike. Felt like hiking through Narnia. I would recommend some yak traks or something, since there are some slick spots, but I also did fine in my good old fashioned 20 year old Sorel winter boots.
It's not the easiest hiking spot, but it's has some very rewarding views. Make sure you wear good, grippy hiking boots. We had a few slips in our group even with everyone in boots. Most hiking trails seem to build to one overlook spot, but this trail had one every 15 minutes. There aren't many flat spots between the overlooks, but it's definitely worth the hike. Plan for at least 3-4 hours to do the main loop. There's plenty of parking at the entrance, and a few campsites for those who need more time to take in the views.
Nice trail! Great lake views, clean, well-marked. Parking for 6-10 vehicles.
Great hiking trails ❤️. Lots of rocks and roots in the trails, but totally awesome and worth the hike. Take the loop around #5, and hike up to the cliff. Beautiful view! We were blessed with all of the waterfalls we saw hiking. Ely Minnesota, was under a high water level. Just beautiful 💦💙
