Great place to stay...after we shewed the cows away we were able to set up. Very quiet on our stay here.
Wow. Yankee Meadows has been our favorite family place. No fee for designated dispersed campground. But they are limited. The lake was very low. But still great fishing. The burn areas look so sad. But still some campgrounds with green trees.
Despite this area having a huge wildfire burn through it a few years ago, it is showing plenty of signs of recovery. The yankee campground that is the "official" paid campground is still closed however the dispersed camping is open. The road is 2 wheel drive friendly all the way to the lake. There is only 20-some official sites, first come first serve.
Not too many spots here. It was pretty quiet and slightly covered in cow poop. You’re gonna love it!
Weekdays there was good spots. A bit further away from big campgrounds which was nice and fewer atvs going through. Good cell reception.
