Fantastic experience and views from Lower Montgomery were amazing! I highly recommend you check them out. Be ready to four wheel drive up to the yurt or take a steep 1 mile walk.
Cozy little yurts that sleep 4 - 5 people on bunks. Wood stove for heat and gas stove for cooking. Drinking water comes from melting snow. Allows access to beautiful snowy woods in the winter. Snowshoes are needed as the trails have 1 - 3 feet of snow in winter.
Amazing backcountry yurt! Rustic yet comfortable. The yurt was nice and cozy with the woodstove going, despite the temperature being 15°F outside. The ski/snowshoe into the yurt was strenuous, but fun. Zelda was exceptionally helpful at the office. We will definitely be returning for another adventure!
