Bluffview is an excellent location for boating and fishing near Mark Twain Lake. Here, visitors can relax on the Salt River and imagine what life was like when the beloved author explored the same waters and created legendary characters like Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn.
Bluffview lies about 10 miles downstream of Mark Twain Lake and the Clarence Cannon Dam. Here on the Salt River, a smaller dam is in place to form a storage pool for wetland purposes. Mark Twain Lake and the Salt River are hugged by tree-topped hills in north-central Missouri.
Visitors enjoy fishing for bass below the Re-Regulation Dam. Bird watching for waterfowl and boating are also popular activities.
The recreation area is for day-use visitors only, and provides a boat ramp, playground and picnic shelters.

Mm-hmm
Some calls it a Kaiser blade, I calls it a sling blade, mm-hmm.
Beautiful natural area with modern amenities and facilities such as restroom, covered picnic table and barbecue pit, ample parking, waking paths, boat ramp, and plenty of places to sit to fish comfortably! Groomed grassy areas where kids can run and play while the parents fish. Lovely forested cliffs rise up on one side of the Salt River that make for beautiful photography!
There needs to be a fishing regulations board by the boat ramp and up closer to the dam that way people know size and limits for each species. Been going up there for years and never has there ever been one so I just follow the regulations for on the lake.
