About Campground

Coyote Campground has 31 campsites with pads from 47 to 66 feet in length. All the sites have a fire ring, lantern hook, and picnic table and are in a wooded area not far from the lake. Nine of the campsites have electric and the rest are basic with water access at sites 33, 37, 46, and 53. Three of the sites are ADA-accessible and there is a vault toilet and extra parking at the north end of the campground by the amphitheater. From November until March, you will need to go to the frost-free water access by campsite one in Badger Campground. Pets are welcome as long as they are restrained or on a leash at all times.

The staff was super helpful. The camp sites are clean. They also had a bunch of activities for the kids. Short drive from the beach. We will be going back.

Hosts are incredibly friendly, we accidentally booked the wrong site and had no problems getting a new one without having to cancel just paid the difference since we where moving to a site with electricity, bugs typically not too bad and loads of wild mushrooms especially around the Fourth, quiet but 20miles drive from any store, closest being Paris. Very Clean!

Stayed here for 1 night while passing through. It’s a state park site so you can book online. Unfortunately we went in the off season so the online booking wasn’t working. Make sure you have cash/checks handy if you can’t book online. The couple staying at the camp couldn’t process a credit/debit card. Very friendly. Very kid friendly and a beautiful piece of land. The campground was clean and well taken care of. Would definitely stay again.

We drove a long distance to get to the campground and we loved it. The campground is spacious, clean and convenient. Camp lots are large, with a fireplace and grill, driveway for large campers, space for tents and whatnot and table with benches. Showers and restrooms were very clean with hot water. Firewood and ice are available upon request for a charge. There are hiking trails all around the campsites offerring breathtaking views on the lake and its shoreline. Autumn is very beautiful there. Abundance of birds of pray flying over the campground. I can't imagine what it looks like during summer. Mark Twain Museum is just a half-hour walk from the campsite. Great area for camping, hiking, fishing, canoeing and sightseeing!
