Nestled in the heart of the 53,000 acre Goethe State Forest, guests have access to miles of trails to be explored by hiking, biking, horseback, or carriage. Luxuriously appointed cottages, tiny homes, Aistream trailers, and premium cobblestone RV pads (some covered), all with grills, picnic tables, 50 AMP electric, sewer, and water, make living onsite with your horse an all-inclusive experience.
Black Prong provides luxury amenities for both short and long-term guests. The main pavilion provides guests with access to the main hall with a grand fireplace, reading room, and screened porch with a fireplace. Guests can come and relax in the four-foot-deep beach entrance swimming pool and hot tub, or workout in the fitness center. Free Wi-Fi is available in the main pavilion and across most of the property. Dogs are welcome and can run and play in the fenced dog park with a waterer and benches. Electric golf carts are available to rent, and guests have access to complimentary bicycles and laundry facilities.
Located in central Florida, Black Prong offers a focused equine training environment and luxurious, peaceful equine accommodations conveniently located near the competition facilities of HITS Ocala and the World Equestrian Center. The permanent barns are outfitted with roomy stalls each lined with rubber mats. Each barn hosts a rubber matted wash rack and climate-controlled tack room. Spacious grass paddocks are located throughout the property and are included with every stall rental. The carriage marathon course and the turf and sand arenas provide training space for horse and rider.
Enter through the main gate and head to the office to check-in.
Thankfully we were able to take advantage of the Harvest Host offer. Full hookups on grass close to amenities. High end modern finishes throughout the facilities. Grateful to be here before high season.

Immaculate grounds! Pool is sparkling and perfect. The workout room had a row machine! The bathroom scrubbed and clean!! Pool towels were fresh and soft. The restaurant was relaxing and the ambiance was spot on. The service and food was like fine dining. All staff members were so pleasant and nice. Michelle at the front desk did such an amazing job with sharing with us so much information. I would highly recommend staying there.
We have stayed there with our horses a couple of times. The cabins are great! The horse areas are great! (water close by, a place for manure close by, stalls and turnout areas and access to Goethe State Park horse trails) It would be nice to hear about all that is offered for horses at check-in because it's a large area. We recommend Black Prong.
Much to be recommended. This is a unique idea for an equestrian holiday. There are stables for several horses attached to the well equipped cottages. It is next to a state park, which is perfect for rides and trails. There are various dining options and a store, as well as a swimming pool and other recreational facilities. . I have stayed here several times and enjoyed it immensely.
