About Campground

It's pretty dark here. There are no large cities anywhere around here.

My family moved here in 1957 and I purchased it from my father in 1975.

My wife is responsible for much of the landscaping and home improvements that have been done since 1990.

We are retired self-employed.

Perfect for families and friends who want to have a private, spacious camping area!

The toilet is not available during winter months.

Directions

We have a large rock at the end of the driveway that has "Snyder, since 1957" engraved on it. There are no buildings visible from the road. You should contact us by text or phone before you arrive so that I can meet you in the driveway.

Probably the 4th time I’ve stayed at the Douglas Fir cabin. Always clean and cozy with all the amenities a small family needs!

Just a heads up, the couch in this cabin is dangerously comfortable! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very firm beds which is why I gave rooms 2 stars. Extremely hard beds. Great atmosphere and location. Toilet leaked a bit but didn't bother us too much. Generous with the amount of firewood given.

This is a beautiful cabin! We usually stay at a different one, but this one fits our needs better, especially with having preteen and teenage children. It is so quiet and relaxing there, and it is a much needed escape from our regular life. We will be back again!

Always a great experience staying at Cook Forest Hilltop cabins. Cabins stay toasty with the indoor fireplaces, there is plenty of space inside and outside the cabins for friends and family to gather, and the space is well decorated. Will be coming back!

The Buckeye cabin was very comfortable! The couch was huge and the fireplace big and safe to use. The landlord supplied items that the listing stated we would need to, so it was a pleasant surprise, in addition to the chocolates and park map left for us. Firewood was ample, and it was very easy to obtain more. The beds were a little less comfortable than we'd hoped. Otherwise, it was a spectacular stay. The situation was beautiful and convenient, the landlord accessible during our holiday stay, and the attention to detail impressive. We would return to Top Hill again, and highly recommend a stay.
