Nice park. Owners are Super. He let's me know when any packages come in and responds quickly to any questions or concerns that arise. They are reasonably priced. They are still in construction stages but it only on mostly the outskirts areas. All spots are paved and very spacious. There sre howling coyotes and donkeys at night. And occasionally you hear a train. Highland Bayou Park is 0.5 mi. It's a really nice park for children to burn energy or to relax or drop a kayak. I would recommend this place.

Great location. Public park next door on a bayou. Good place to fish and crab. I run on the levee (it is paved) and the view is pretty darn cool. Texas City on one side and Bayou on the other.

Anyone who visits Highland Bayou park. This owner is the reason why the road is so tore up. I have complained to City Hall and they should charge the owner for the road. He destroyed the road with his heavy equipment

My husband and I are here for his job. Not all RV Parks are equal, and we have stayed at alot of them, so we know what to look for. This park is fairly new and as they continue to expand, is becoming quite nice. I appreciate the ease and convenience of the location. 1.5 miles from I-45, yet set way off the highway in a quiet rural setting that includes beautiful lake views. It is also one of the more affordable parks to stay at. The lots are nice and big, completely concrete and easily accessible. The owners and park staff have been extremely kind and accomodating since our arrival in November 2023. We originally had a lake front lot, which is the newest part of the park, so the grass in between the spaces had not yet grown back. We have 2 dogs that live with us full time, and with the rainy season upon us, the mud quickly became too much to deal with on a daily basis. We reached out to the owners and expressed our concern. He kindly advised there were not any lots (with grass) currently available, but he would let us know as soon as one was. I believe we waited 1 week and he phoned to let us know and give us 1st dibs. Of course we said yes. The move has been so much better for our situation. This park consists mostly of working families, people just like us, so we haven't had any issues with neighbors. I am grateful for the concrete drives, which makes it very convenient for me to get in my daily walks. We will most likely be here through 2025, so we look forward to enjoying our time. We highly recommend Big State RV Park!!!
