Babcock County Park is named after Stephen Babcock, Wisconsin dairy scientist, known internationally for discovering the method for determining the percentage of butterfat found in milk.
Babcock County Park is located on the east side of Lake Waubesa at the outflow of the Yahara River near the Village of McFarland on U.S. Highway 51. The boat launch offers a fish cleaning facility and accessible fishing pier. The Park also has a 25-unit campground with electricity supplied to all sites, a fully accessible bathroom and shower, and a sanitary dump station.

Decent spot to fish from shore, especialy in the spring or fall. It's where I caught this massive 50" Musky. (At babcock park in the fall of 2021)
Nice little county park. Clean restroom. Showers could use a couple of hooks for your stuff.
Not the out in the woods feel. Here’s a county park that has been developed around over time but still a very nice clean RV park. The gravel pads are level (although somewhat short) with 30 amp service. What this park does is provide a great way to access the Madison chain of lakes. A boat launch is within walking distance and the RV park provides dock space to a limited number of sites (no electricity available at dock). A supper club, diner, Culver’s, and gas station that sells live bait (including large suckers) are just across the street but the sound of traffic never stops.
The restrooms are clean and well kept. Showers were warm. Playground is fun for the kids. But the campsites are right by the highway with no privacy, and it’s so very noisy. Traffic never stops. So we won’t be returning.
Stayed one night as I was passing through, small campground will accommodate most rv’s most are back in , available easily in and out. Right in town busy street in front kinda noisy. Pets are allowed. Has a dump station and water . Sites are electric. Lots of shade.
