From East jct Hwy 13/23/16: Go 3/4 mi SE on Hwy 16, then 200 ft. S on Vine St.
Nice setting, excellent people, there was a free concert that made the evening enjoyable. Will definitely go back.
Camping stream side is the best. Nice and cool under the canopy of tall old trees. The birds were fun to watch and don't forget to leave a treat for the racoon or he wakes you up at 3am with his temper tantrum.
This is one of the best kept camping secrets. The grounds are well kept, and the location is perfect for all!
Wow! I wish we had known about this little gold nugget years ago! My husband is an avid fly fisherman and this place is right on the West Fork of the Kickapoo River. You have to become a member (which is easy and a great value) and then you can camp right on the river for $10 & $20 (electric site). There's also a cabin and a clubhouse you can rent.
Has all the following amenities:
Showers ($1.50)
Flush toilets
Wifi
Fire Rings & Picnic Tables at each site
Firewood ($5/bundle)
BONUS: My husband just caught the biggest brown trout of his life here.
