We enjoyed the location of the motel. It was close to everything but far enough away to be able to enjoy some the peace and quiet of the country. Our room was comfortable. We would have liked another lamp by the chairs so we could read and play cards and games. A television channel list would have been helpful, too. We had a good experience.
Not the worst, far from the best. As far as the rooms; they are extremely dated. There was black mold in the bathrooms, but the rooms for the most part were maintained. What ruined the whole experience for me was that the owners were extremely rude. Especially the female. She insulted me the very first day we arrived and from that point on it was just awkward. It got so bad that I actually left earlier than my anticipated check out date. I understand that cultures vary, but she was plain rude. The housekeepers were super friendly and helpful. Go here if it's a last resort thing. There are plenty of other places that offer the same rates if not better.
We stayed in the kitchenette 8/23-8/25 it was perfect space for large family. We had to bring our own pots and pans and dishes as they do not provide but no big deal. I was not a fan of the mini bar left in fridge as we had to bag it all up and put it in a place the kids would not get to but it was a small step to do .I also wish we had a broom as I felt bad what the kids had on the floors from playing outside. The owners and their kids are so friendly and we love your sweet dog . We will definitely book again.
We were camping in tents, we did not stay at the hotel. The camp sites are clean and good size with a fire pit, picnic table and a garbage provided. The people working there are wonderful and very friendly. The pool is very clean with a beautiful park area and also bathrooms with showers near by. Would like to see better bundles of wood, as the slats burn to quickly and warmer water in the showers, other than that, we could not have asked for anything else. The entire experience was great and we would definitely stay there again!
If you are looking for a great, quiet place to stay, then look no further! Summer Breeze was perfect for our trip, from the rooms to the pool to the grills on site for you to use. It's a family run business, and the owners are super nice and accommodating. They are often patrolling the grounds or working on the rooms (I do believe they are remodeling) so you sometimes have to call them, but they answer and make sure to get you what you need! I was not disappointed at all - the rooms were clean, so was all the bedding and towels. I was so happy with my stay here that I will definitely be back next year.
Things to note:
- Take into consideration this is a RESORT, not a HOTEL. They are small staffed, so if you want specific things - like your bed made each morning, etc - you have to ask.
- Be prepared to wait on your stuff. Again, the staff is small and they are a family business, which means they may have to deal with other guests and/or family stuff before they can get to you.
- They have a dog! It's huge, but super friendly. Don't be scared if it walks up to you, I promise it won't hurt you.
I hope your stay is as great as mine was!
