We tented here for 2 nights. Owner was friendly. The campground sits right alongside railway tracks. With the train crossing being so close, be prepared to hear the train cross and blow its whistle all day/night long. (ear plugs might help a bit when sleeping). The tent spot was nice, flat and big. Bass Lake is not a lake. It is a very small stagnant creek. The tent sites sit alongside the creek. WiFi is not provided at this campground. Some tent sites have hydro. A lot of focus is kept on the grounds which I might add is very nice but overlooked in the washroom facilities. Washroom/shower facilities were never cleaned when I arrived and during my two day stay. There is nothing major in regard to supplies in the store but there is a grocery store few miles away.
We love coming here, the people here are great, very peaceful and relaxing. Sites are beautiful, nice mix of shade and sun. Pool is very nice, a tiki bar is available 5-10 to mingle with others.plenty of amenities on site, if not…Lyndon Station is a couple miles one way and the Dells a few the other way. I recommend lunch at Mac’s, breakfast at Schwagger’s , groceries at Miller’s…all in Lyndon Station.
My boyfriend, our two dogs and I were on campsite #42 reserved for 2 nights. After setting everything up and almost about to sit down and relax it started raining pretty hard. So all of us decided to sit and wait it out in the car. After about 10 minutes it wasn't letting up and we looked out out window and our campsite started filling with water. We proceeded to get out of the car and the water was up to our ankles and water was rushing through our site from the camp sites above us. We realized there was no way we could comfortably stay here with two dogs, especially if the rain didn't let up. We took both tents down and all of our wet belonging and packed my car in the pouring rain. There was no way we could be expected to stay there comfortably with the amount of water what was going to be there after all the rain and the rushing water from the other sites. Not to mention one of the workers ( before the rain) came up to us and suggested we take our canopy tent down because of the wind and possible thunder, during that conversation he could have mentioned that our site will probably be under water shortly. After addressing them via email they replied back very inconsiderate and not willing to issue a refund of $100 for a two night stay we couldn't/ wouldn't be able to enjoy. Do not recommend. And considering the amount of people that have experienced the same thing we did after reading these reviews its wild that the staff tried to tell me that their campground doesn't flood.
We tent camped for 10 days at this little slice of heaven... The are far/close enough to the Dells/Baraboo that you feel far from the city but not so far it would be hard to do a fay excursion. They have a pond, pool, volleyball court, basketball court, amazing playground (though we had no little ones), showers and laundry on site. The staff was friendly and amazing and so were the seasonal people as well. We shall definitely be coming back!
I have been camping at Bass Lake for 3 years now and my 7 year old daughter and I just LOVE this campground. It is VERY clean grounds and bathroom facilities. The playground equipment is out of this world. The pool area has the cutest Cabana. There is a beautiful area for fishing or kayaking. Everyone is absolutely the friendliest people you'll ever meet. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay at Bass Lake! Happy Camping!
