Camping is not allowed on the neighboring Long Branch Management Lands. Atlanta CA is a separate jurisdiction from the nearby Long Branch State Park.
From Macon, take Highway 63 north 5 miles, then Route AX west 2 miles, and Jupiter Avenue north 2.50 miles.
Great area for hunters and fishermen. Access to most areas is good and if your willing to walk a bit, you can find some remote areas to hunt. Although our hunting success wasn't good, it was more due to the weather and not the amount of game on the property. It is well maintained and plenty of food plots to hunt over.
It's so peaceful here! There are MANY great primitive camping sites that are easily accessible, plus it's just a few minutes drive to Long Branch lake - swimming at the beach, cookouts, rafting, a boat ramp, and kayak rentals! We will definitely return again and again :)
Great place to walk and maybe see a few wild turkeys. Found a snake today as a matter of fact.
