About Campground

Mozingo Lake Recreation Park features 37 primitive tent campsites available for use. Located in a beautiful wooded area featuring scenic lake views, camping under the stars has never been this enjoyable. Tent camping passes can be purchased at the information booth near the park’s entrance.

The Primitive Tent Camping Area consists of 37 sites, all equipped with a fire ring and a picnic table.

These sites cannot be reserved and are available on a first come, first served basis. Please look out for the ‘PAID – TENT’ signs on each site to assure the site has not already been paid for by another customer.

There is a showerhouse (with toilets and showers) at the campground, near the entrance. If you need water, there is a water source near the showerhouse.

Fees

$15 includes one tent/camper. Each unit/site (max of 2) is $15. It may be 2 tents, 2 pop ups or one of each for a max of $30/site.

Wonderful facility. Hope they build a few more cabins for larger groups. I’m afraid our kids camp has outgrown the location.

Came here for a weekend camping boffer event(Dark Tides). Beautiful site, the main community building was delightful to be able to able use and the showers kept up with hot water. I do wish the shower stalls were a bit smaller and that the Porta potty farther out from the main bathrooms was better maintained. Definately looking forward to my next trip here!

Went with the Boy Scouts and used the cabins for our winter campout, enjoying a change of pace with the nice cabins that have both heat and a/c. Nice lodge as well with kitchen and nice bathrooms. We used the fire pit as well with benches. Mozingo staff even bladed the roads after we got 6 inches of snow, ensuring that we were able to leave and not get stuck. We will keep coming back every year I hope!
