Great views from both points of Crazy Jug Canyon, Tapeats Amphitheater, Steamboat Mountain and Great Thumb Mesa. Very little traffic, camped about 20 yards from the point and woke up to breathtaking views!
Road can be extremely rough to travel. Recommend high clearance off road vehicles and going slow. Some routes more rugged and rough than others. We camped there for 4 days and it was the most beautiful and serene place to visit. Takes around 2+ hours from main highway each direction.
Beautiful drive out to the point. Unfortunately, the probable 5 star view was obstructed by smoke from prescribed burning in the area, and the insects buzzing around our face were so annoying we were forced to leave sooner than planned and eat our picnic lunch elsewhere.
