This private property was built by the owners for their family. Since then, the "kids" have grown and are now doing great things, elsewhere, so Sheila & Bob are now sharing the property as it truly is a special place that's meant to be shared with others. They're new on CampingInUSA, so if you're looking for reviews, check them out on Airbnb or their own website. Sheila & Bob are both NYS Guides and are about as local as you get so if you're looking for a unique experience, or want to go to some of the more popular Adirondack locations, their advice, knowledge & expertise is about as good as it gets. Use of their brains is complimentary :)
Wow what a Gem!! Great hospitality. They give you great recommendations on hikes, restaurants and things to do around the Adirondacks. I would stay there in the future.
I normally never leave reviews, However after the weekend we spent at Camp Hatteras I had to take a minute to tell anyone who might be searching for a vacation rental. You just found it!!! the house is cozy, quaint, CLEAN, & beds are comfy. There was plenty of firewood for warming by the woodstove at night, after coming in from snowshoeing at the V.i.c. Camp Hatteras is mins from trail 8 which is a great trail for Snowmobiles the views were amazing! The owner and family were super friendly and very accommodating. Thanks Sheila,

Wonderful vacation rental. Fully stocked, even wood cooked maple syrup. The fire pit was ready to light and a great set up. Comfortable beds, dishwasher and 2 bathrooms. Great collection of games to play. Quiet location and great hiking trails on the property. Owner lives close and is helpful if needed. Strongest recommendation.
Winter is amazing here... As is every season! They take care of the smallest details from customized name welcome cards to follow up texts! We can't ask for a better host! You HAVE TO TRY their maple syrup! It's from their property, you'll never taste syrup the same again! Thank you Sheila and Bob for consistent great accommodations! The best!
We spent a February week in this perfectly situated and well-kept cottage in the piney Adirondack woods. All sight lines are trees. The snow fell nearly every day, or night. We rented snowshoes from the owners (who are great hosts) and used them every day but one - a day we rested and read by the wood stove. Our treks were mostly on the property, which offers variety and views. One day we snowshoed at the VIC around Black Pond - woodsy and quiet. We also made several runs down the sledding hill - don’t let your inner 10 year old miss out on that fun! I’m sure this is a great place to stay in any season but we’ll have fond memories of our week in a snow globe at Camp Hatteras.
