We absolutely loved our trip to upstate New York and Vermont! This campground was a huge glaring exception. We have a camper and we should have used it for this trip.... Long story! But we should not have stayed here either way. But we thought a cabin would be a nice balance for this trip, and it could have been. I waited three weeks to write this review to give time for perspective, but my message isn't going to change. Not once did they clean the bathroom. Not once. We arrived on Monday and the bathroom, both men's and women's, was in the same filthy condition when we left Saturday morning. You know that greenish brown sludge that forms in a urinal when it hasn't been cleaned in awhile? Ya... That's the way it was all week! Take a look at the photos and you'll see what I mean about the filth. The fire pit obviously hasn't been cleaned this season. The cabin was mostly adequate, but it was also dirty and can't you afford a decent set of pans? The ladder to the loft was straight vertical and very difficult to go up and even worse to come down. Dangerous! We ended up sleeping our daughter on the main floor because we were afraid she would fall in the night if she had to climb down for the bathroom. Now for the worst part of this review. As we were cleaning up we left some Vermont cheese ect. in the small refrigerator (small under the counter) so it would stay cold as long as possible for our next 4 hour leg drive. We forgot to grab it. So both my wife and I called at least 6 times and once we finally got ahold of someone we were assured they would mail it to us and we would give them the cost associated with sending it to us. All this time later we have not received it. I hope at least they ate it and didn't just throw it out. Very good cheese and summer sausage.

Not good for tent campers. People were rude and walked through our site many times. Pool was closed. Also, they allow smoking and it smells horrible. Campsites were small with no privacy. They had showers, but they were coin operated and the bathrooms were not very clean. People were loud, but could be worse. Mosquitoes are bad. Not recommended.

Me and my family stayed here for a week while we were traveling between New York and Vermont. I will say I loved the location, it had access to a lot of great places to visit, but I have to complain about a few things. First of all, the public bathrooms were so dirty! There were bugs everywhere, one stall in the women’s bathroom was not working, and only dirty bars of soap to wash your hands with, the floor was disgusting!! The showers also barely had light and were filled with bugs, you also had to pay for a few minutes in a dirty shower, which I didn’t do. Then, the cabin we stayed in didn’t seem to be cleaned at all. There were dead bugs, no warm water, the pull out bed would start folding up again if you weren’t laying on it. I can’t believe this! Also the campground was so full that people seemed squished together, no privacy. Also, ant hills EVERYWHERE!! Literally the ground was covered in them! That’s pretty gross. The only positive thing was the location and that everyone else in the campground seemed pretty nice. I did like the laundry room. But overall I don’t think I want to stay here again..

We went and visited some friends that camp here a couple of weeks ago, and it's a nice place and very clean and well kept. The pond they have here is absolutely gorgeous. I personally don't mind visiting people here, but I do not think that I would want to camp here. My self, my husband and my son absolutely love camping, but in my opinion, the camping sites are way too close together. There is not really enough room for any family camping to park 2 vehicles on their own lot. If you're sitting around a fire visiting or roasting marshmallows with the kids or whatever you may be doing, there is no privacy. You are so close to your neighbors that they most likely can hear your conversations. There isn't really enough room on your lot to do much. This, of course, is my opinion. I have heard a lot of good things about this campground throughout the years it's just not my idea of a perfect camping weekend/trip.
