This is paradise. Visited beginning of october to camp next to the lake. The Autumn colors were out of this world. The sites are very spacious. We arrived late, and unfortunately campground map is not too clear. We were "lost" inside for about half hour looking for our site. Planned to stay for 4 nights but only lasted one. Raccoons stole our foods, invaded our tents and ripped them off. Nowhere on the website or campground is any warning about raccoons. We have camped all over and it was our first experience like this. When we complained to campground staff they said we were supposed to be ready to camp outdoors. Besides that, it was way colder than we anticipated. Most people onsite had RVs. Lesson learned. I plan to go back cold and raccoon prepared.
A gem of the northern Adirondacks! Meacham Lake has lots of water front, woodsy and open grassy campsites. The staff is very friendly. You can camp for a whole week or simply spend the day at the beach. Non motorized water craft can be rented. There are showers and wet toilets.
What a great place to go for camping absolutely love it and highly recommend taking a break here
