Campsite: Devil’s Backbone Camp

This is a borderline 3 or 4 star rating. the real issue here is that whoever designed the layout in the full hookup RV section obviously never camped themselves. If you're in an odd-numbered campsite do you have to have extensions on your potable water and for your electric and maybe the sewer in order to connect. notice when they close up picture I installed how the sewer and the power and water connections are on opposite side of the camper.

4/14/2023:. Everything I listed above is still true, but if you get an even number it's great. Also now that everything has reopened the microbrewery and distillery is great along with the overall base camp hang out area.

Campsite: Little Creek MWR RV Park

Pretty nice wooded campground on the Little Creek Amphib base. It's pretty small but has over 45 full hookup sites, including cable TV, and some primitive camp sites also. The RV sites have level concrete pads, but the access roads are rather narrow so so if you have a long rig it can be difficult to get into the site. They do have a small shower house and laundry for longer term campers.

Campsite: Huntington / Fox Fire KOA

Pretty nice KOA and although the sites are rather small, but comparable to other KOAs we've stayed at. This place has a lot of pull through sites and they pull in units from opposite directions. The shower/bathroom near our site was pretty nice with 2 showers and a couple of stalls for men and women sides. They have a nice swimming pond here with a small beach and a swimming platform. There's a decent children's playground and a small but nice camp store.
