Campsite: Blanco State Park

This is cool place for a day trip, this is mostly located around the Blanco river. There's a small and nice trail beside the river, whereas they created a dam/pool near to the entrance. There're arrangements of fishing and camping inside. The park is nice and clean and there's a nice viewpoint at the end of the trail. The restrooms are neat and well maintained. The entry fee is 5USD/person a day. Whereas, this is not a naturally wondering special place, it's good place to have fun and little activities on a given day.

Campsite: Pedernales Falls State Park

This is a nice place for a day outing. You can enter the park with a 6 USD/ person fee, as well as season pass and camping facilities are available. There are several spots inside the park to drive to, out of those the overlook and the swimming area are most interesting. From the overlook the cascades of the fall are visible and the water color is pretty neat. It's good for a little walk toward the cascades and the rocks too. Just as a note, no drones are allowed for photography purposes.

Campsite: Goose Island State Park

This park is one of the places I loved the most. The fishing pier area is just awesome for a day trip or fishing. You'll be seeing crystal clear water that flows over the shallow bay area covered with oyster shells. The natural area (Photos) are great place for birdwatching and you may see pelicans, seagulls and some rare species of birds limited to a very few number. In my opinion, this is a fantastic spot for nature lovers.

Campsite: Lake Corpus Christi State Park

Lake Corpus Christi is a great place to enjoy the nature and birdwatching. The entry fee was 5 USD/person for a day trip. However, there are options for camping, fishing etc. They have couple of fishing piers, good restrooms and plenty of parking spots. The nesting area and the old historical landmark along with the overlook is also pretty cool.

Campsite: Mustang Island State Park

This is a neat and nice beach. The beach is clean and the surroundings are also nice for some photography. Although the water was too cold to handle (we went there in winter break), this is fairly nice spot for a day trip or camping. The park rangers are nice too and the headquarters/ gift shop is probably worth visiting.
