Campsite: Waterloo - Lost Island Waterpark KOA

We stayed for 2 nights. They seem to have a short stay section that towards the entrance. We had a nice view of the lake. Luckily our sewer wasn’t uphill, but most sights were. Our spot of mostly level. They did not lead us to our spot. They advertise cable TV, but told us upon checkin that it was not working. Internet was okay, except for the fact that they don’t have it set up to connect a smart TV. This makes no sense as most people would prefer to use their smart TV. This is the first KOA that I have been to that does not have trash pickup, which I don’t understand being a resort. We had someone in the spot behind us with a large dog and they did not keep the poop picked up, meaning we were dodging poop piles during set up and tear down. This worked okay for the 2 nights that we stayed, if we are ever back in the area we would look for an alternative place.

Campsite: Midway RV Park

We stayed here for 2 nights. There was a lot of long term units, but it’s a very clean, well maintained park. Our site was concrete, level, and long, with full hookups. The only difficult thing we had to deal with besides the rain was trying to connect to the internet, you have to enter a code and create a login, I finally figured it out and got the TV connected, but couldn’t get my laptop connected, which I needed for work. It’s frustrating having to hotspot when you’re in a city and should have easy wifi access.

Campsite: San Juan County Park

This is a small, beautiful park, with great views for watching for whales, dolphins, and other wildlife! There’s restrooms and camping as well

Campsite: Peter Ds RV Park

This is a well set up, well maintained RV Park. Everything is gravel and grass, and level. Full hookups, and very reasonably priced. Peter gives you plenty of information on places to see and eat as well. The laundry and bathhouse are immaculate, as well as the rest of the park. Our only complaint is that some of the sites, such as ours are very narrow. Had someone stayed in the spot next to us we would not have been able to put our awning out to accommodate the slides of our neighbors.
