Lovely campground. Not too big but the sites were a good size. It was peaceful camping in late September. Due to high water levels some sites and not available. Great for walking around and seeing the bay, as well as sunrises. We really enjoyed camping here. Options for electric, electric and water, or electric/water/blacktop.
A favorite hiking and adventure spot near Wausau. The trails are great and many different trail options for different views. The rocks are fun to climb on and get close to the falls areas. Head south of the bridge on the Ice Age Trail for even more great hiking. There’s also shelters, picnic tables, beach and a playground. You won’t be disappointed by the amazing scenery!

Very nice, smaller County Park. The campground was closed, but we have heard from others its a great place to camp. The lake was beautiful and excellent for a bit of kayaking. Clear water and lots of birds to see. Boat Launch if really nice. Its a no wake lake, however. The picnic areas have lots of picnic tables, and there's a playground, nice bathrooms, volleyball court. Very peaceful place. The beach is quite small.
Nice park and beach! The beach was combed nicely and despite it being late in the season, the water wasn't too ridden with plants. The swimming area was a good size and a nice slope out to deeper water makes it great for everyone. The beach was pretty clean and lots of small snail shells to find :)
Great park and area to check out Lake Superior. We camped in the upper grounds, which was nice but the flies and bees were a bit much in August. The area had been flooded, so everything is redone. The campground/RV is very open with minimal shade and the ground is packed, making staking difficult. The views were beautiful, though, and the staff in the office were very nice. Bathrooms are very clean. Bring quarters to use the showers! (A quarter a minute and you need at least 4 to start it.) The walk in tent site area is so pretty and quiet. Lots of wildlife in the surrounding hills. We were in site 10, which probably has the most privacy. Deer came down each night to eat. Lots of areas to explore nearby, including waterfalls and hiking.
