This city owned RV Park on the lake was fully remodeled in 2019. It remains neat and clean, family oriented, lots of amenities, well maintained, clean bathrooms. The staff is strict with the rules. The park is close to ships and services but this part of Lake Elsinore is old and a little worn. That didn't matter to me as I spent most of my time enjoying the park. AT&T signal was good, the park's WiFi was good. The sites around the splash pad and play areas are tight but each site has a small fence providing dinner separation.
This KOA is a pleasant stay, Comfortable sites, clean and neat. My site was nicely shaded. The campground is adjacent to a residential neighborhood so it is quiet. The KOA staff were friendly and helpful. I had a good ATT signal. My only concern was dead branches in the tree above my site, that during a summer afternoon thunderstorm may come down on me. Other trees in the campground had dead branches over campsites. Regardless, I'd stay again, just in a site with no trees.
The park is acceptable for an overnight stay. It feels safe and, even thought it is close to a freeway and major artery, it is quiet at night. There are restaurants and gas stations very close. 3-stars because the condition of the part is so-so. While the park looks picked up (sort of neat) you can see the evidence of age. The pool is either in disrepair or being repaired. Lot's of guest RVs looking very worn out. The staff was friendly and my spot was shady and clean. The 30-amp receptacle at my site was loose, its power was intermittent, Instead I used the 50 amp receptacle and my 50/30 amp adapter and it worked fine. I did not report this to the office. Good cell coverage on AT&T and the parks wifi was fairly good, better than most RV parks. I stayed here because it was the the target area for my drive and it was the best reviewed park around. I did not find many in the area during my search so if you find the same consider staying here.
This is a tough review, the park is the best in the area, but I think it could be better. Upon arrival Tom in the office was friendly and pleasant. Check in was easy, BTW, cash or check only. Tom let me have the pick of sites. All sites were grass but the grass was rough in most sites. While overall level I had to find the right spot in the site to be level. While I find ants in most campgrounds I found more here there elsewhere. I try not to park on any hills and that was difficult here. The hook ups worked well. The driveways were crushed red gravel, smooth and well groomed. Puddles did form during the rain but no big deal. Other reviewers mentioned the freight trains. I heard them too but not too often and not bothersome, but I wear earplugs when I sleep, and I slept well. Short ride to Fort Laramie, nice place to spend an hour or two. Gas a few miles away in downtown Lingle. AT&T wireless service was good, so was camp wifi.
