Campsite: Flagstaff KOA

Great location and easy to find. It’s close to a lot of restaurants. There’s a small convenient store where you check in. The bathroom and showers are clean. The water pressure isn’t that great but since it’s winter I care more about there being hot water, which there was. The laundry takes card and it’s well taken care of. There were some machines out of order but with off season it didn’t bother us. They do allow you to use the dump station if you are not staying at the park for $20.

Campsite: Dark Sky RV Park & Campground

This place is beautiful. Easy to find and very welcoming. We stayed for a few nights and loved it. The sites all have a great view of the stars. The bathrooms have heated floors with an indoor and outdoor shower. Even though we were the only ones at the park at the time, they still kept everything very clean. Met 2 of the owners and the hosts, very welcoming. All of them gave us many recommendations of hikes and places to go to in the area. If you need some ideas or advice they can definitely help! The store next to the terrace has snacks, beverages and even farm fresh eggs, which were delicious. They have a sign which tells you different ways to pay and how much, they do accept Venmo! Their resident cat, Clea is adorable and very friendly. Highly recommend this place!

Campsite: SimpleLife Campsites

When we arrived we met the host and he explained everything to us. He told us which sites had electric available. He was great. I could see this place being decent in the warmer months, However I’m giving it a lower rating because of the copious amount of dog poop around the trash and dumping area. We stepped in it multiple times when trying to use the dump area. There are even bags next to the bathrooms to pick it up with. Why just leave it there? I get that it’s not peak season but it looked like it hadn’t been picked up in over a week maybe more. I really hope when this place is busy, that’s not the case. Not only that but the layout of the water and electrical hook up is kind of in convenient. Along with where the dumping pipe is. There are multiples but the others didn’t really work with the side ours was on. Make sure you have a long hose for your gray tank to reach it. This is definitely an over night kind of place or 2 nights max. Thankfully our van has its own shower because the shower in the RV park did not have any hot water whenever we tried.

Campsite: Salt Lake City KOA

We were there for only a night in January. For a quick stop over this KOA was perfect for what we needed. They have everything you need like propane, all hook ups, bathroom and shower. The bathroom and shower have codes to get into. The pool was closed for winter but hot tub was open. The facilities were very clean and taken care of. There is a security guard at night since this KOA is in the city. It’s very close to down town where all the restaurants and shops are. The RV spots are pretty close together. If you want space this is not the place for you and people will walk through your site not caring that you’re there. I can see this being a problem during summer or peak times. It can get a little noisy at night due to the train but you’re in a city so it’s expected.
