You can walk 50 feet and be at waters edge, beautiful place. Secluded, in forest of pine trees where ground is bare of any undergrowth. About 15 or so campsites. Has toilet shed, well maintained.
Great and beautiful spot! A lot of the sites here have river access. Try going to the smaller loop, it’s a little bit spreading out and more privacy. Highway and train noise could be too much at but we were fine and happy with the site!
Beautiful, quiet, and serene. This campground is exactly what you are looking for if you want nothing more than to relax, enjoy the sounds of the beautiful Yaak and Kootenai Rivers, and do a little fishing, hiking, and swimming. The RV spots are nice and wide and level. There are sturdy picnic tables everywhere and bear-boxes for the tent sites. The bathrooms (pit toilets) are kept very clean and the campground is managed by the hosts Steve and Cindy. We will be returning here for sure!
Disclaimer: Although everything mentioned above is true and accurate, I must disclose that the hosts are in fact my parents. 😁 But I'm sure you will love them as much as I do!!
