Sibley Lake Dam Picnic Ground is located just off U.S. Highway 14, the Bighorn Scenic Byway. It is situated at the outlet of Sibley Lake, making it a great spot for trout fishing.
From Dayton, WY, take Hwy 14 west 21 miles.Turn left at sign.
Very nice campground that is extremely well kept. It is one of the few in the area that has electrical hookups. There is not a dump station at th campground or water at the sites themselves. However there are spigots accessible around the loop and a dump station five miles to the west of the camp.
Easy access. Nice for a day trip. Little dusty. If you actually want to camp go find a nice spot off the beaten road where trucks and 4wheelers aren't grinding past every few minutes. We grew up having fun here. Definitely a favorite!
Stayed for two nights and though it rained both days still had a pleasant experience.
The restrooms are clean and well maintained.
There is plenty of space between campsites and it's just a short walk to Sibley Lake from any of them.
Beautiful reservoir high in the Bighorn mountains. Only one other person in the campground. Close to the highway so no long forest road but there is some highway noise. Lots of hiking trails short to long, just a Beautiful area. Most camping in the bighorns was already closed for the season. This one is "closed" but gates are open which means no garbage, water or bathrooms.
It's a nice campground in Sibley national forest.
The lake view is amazing and the campground has convenient access to the lake.
Camp host is welcoming and ready to assist with any questions you might have.
We stayed two nights at this campground and the stay was amazing.
Visited during 13-14 June, the temperature can be a bit cold at night.
